Rezzed is a UK event for PC and indie games presented by Eurogamer.net and Rock, Paper, Shotgun, hosted at the NEC in Birmingham. After a visit to Cadbury World the day before, we’ll make our way to the event to see the latest in indie games and attempt to mingle with some developers both famous and new.
Last year saw sessions from well-known developers such as Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall, creator of DayZ, and Peter Molyneux, creator of the Fable series, the Curiousity experiment and the upcoming Kickstarter success Godus. This year we hope to attend a developer session from Rangar Tornquist, Martin Bruusgaard and Dag Scheve from Red Thread Games in the hope of seeing some new and exclusive content for their upcoming Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey.
I’m personally looking forward to trying out the Oculus Rift for the first time which will be playable with Surgeon Simulator 2013. Whether or not it’s the best game to be immersed into for the first time in my life, I’ll soon find out.
Other than rushing to be the first in the queue for the developer sessions and seeking out the hottest indie games, we’ll be checking out the newest and most unique titles currently in development.
For a full list of what’s on at Rezzed this year, see their page at the official website and be sure to check back at 1001-Up.com after the weekend for our full write-up of the event. If you’re attending, come and say hello – let us know in the comments below and update our poll with this and any other events you’re attending this year.
